This editorial was definitely a step out of my shooting comfort zone but in a very good and rewarding way. In July I applied for a very coveted spot in Nick Knights Mastered program. I really wanted to get into this program and take the 4 month online course to learn the 'In's & Out's' of working in the fashion industry and to get a chance to be seen by some of the top editors and scouts within the industry.
I was shortlisted after a week and given a chance to prove that I deserved a spot in the course by following a brief sent to me by the program co-coordinators. I had one week to shoot an editorial story that embodied "Youth & Rebellion".
My amazing friends Marissa (Model) and Jilly (Make-up/hair) stepped in to help me with this last minute shoot and I couldn't have been more thankful to them.
I styled the shoot with some of my darker and bolder pieces while still try to keep the look youthful. Marissa wears Chanel boots, Isabel Marant, McQ by McQueen, a custom made leather jacket and some vintage pieces.
The editorial was picked up as a webeditorial for Coco Indie Online :)
